Hello Brottransporter, The Gauges from a 1993 Polo are diffrent to the 91 Polo. In the middle of the Year 1993 Vw has changed the Kabel and so also the Speedometerinstrument. Be shure that you have on the new Intrument an Controllamp for Coolant. If You have not, the new Instrument isn`t for your Model. You have to change the Engine Wire, the Kabelstring from the Steeringbox and the Kabelstring from the Headlights to the 93 Model. I hope my Answer help You along. Sorry for my English :( Best Regards Ego PS für alle die kein Englisch verstsehen: 1993 hat VW die Motorelektrik und die Kabelbäume geändert. Somit passt das 93er Kombiinstrument nicht in den 91 Polo ohne den Kabelbaum zu ändern, bzw. zu wechseln. Gruß Ego
